For organisations such as ours, that keep customer booking records, contact details, etc, the new regulations make little practical difference; as we are already fully committed to respecting and protecting your privacy and we take serious precautions to ensure all your data is held in a safe and secure manner. However, we do need to keep some records and you have the right to know what information is held, and to let us know if you want some or all of that information permanently deleted.

Information held

If you have booked a holiday with us, we keep names and addresses; telephone numbers and email addresses; all booking details, including all invoices and receipts on file. If you have listed any special requirements for your holiday, such as needing use of a high chair, that will also be on our files. We don’t take any payments by card, so there are no worries regarding card details.

How we store and use your information

Information is stored both electronically and through paper filing systems. Information from non-active bookings is kept for a limited period in a locked filing cabinet. We do not use cookies on our website and we do not store your data on our site. If you make a comment in one of our guest books, we ensure all personal data is removed, before copying it to our website. Your data can only be accessed by those persons directly involved in the management of Limes Farm Holidays and is required for the sole purpose of facilitating holidays. We will never pass on any information that you give us, that would allow outside agencies to contact you with the intention of selling or promoting goods or services. How we collect your information

We usually collect our guests’ information by means of our own booking form. We are a small, independent concern; but we do work with other agencies and services, in order to facilitate the initial stages of the booking process for ourselves and our customers. We have a contact form on our website, but this is used for first contact purposes only: we issue our own booking form, for completion by the lead guest(s), which is ultimately stored in paper form. A small proportion of our guests make their initial enquiry or booking via a third party: if you have made your enquiry, or particularly if you have made your actual booking, via a third party, they may collect data on you and they should inform you about this. Similarly, if you follow a link from our website to another site, they may collect data on you and they should inform you of this. Please be aware that these sites will have their own privacy policies, which may differ from ours and you should contact them directly if you have any questions or concerns over their collection and use of your data.

Data retention

We will store your data for a limited time after you make a booking. If you re-book with us, your data will be updated. If you do not re-book with us within a period of three years, we will not store your data for any longer than is necessary and it will be removed from our files. If you would like your data removed from our records sooner, please contact us.

Changes to this privacy policy

If there are any changes to our privacy policy, our information will be updated here. We will revise the ‘last updated’ date at the end of this page. We encourage all those concerned to frequently check this page for any changes. It is the responsibility of all users of our site to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
